Launching This Summer

Helping Us Understand Eversley's Future Housing Needs

As part of the evidence gathering process for the Eversley Neighbourhood Plan, a Housing Needs Assessment Survey will be distributed to households across the parish in July 2026. The survey is being carried out in partnership with Action Hampshire, an independent organisation with extensive experience in delivering housing needs surveys for local communities. The last Housing Needs Assessment for Eversley was undertaken in 2020. Updating this information is an important part of building an accurate and up-to-date evidence base for the Neighbourhood Plan.

Why Is This Survey Important?

One of the key roles of a Neighbourhood Plan is to understand the needs of the community, including local housing needs. While the Community Survey undertaken in 2025 included questions about housing, the Housing Needs Assessment is a much more detailed questionnaire designed to identify the specific housing requirements of people living in Eversley. The survey helps establish whether there is a need for different types of housing within the parish, including homes for:

  • Young people looking to remain in the area.
  • First-time buyers.
  • Families wishing to move within the parish.
  • Older residents looking to downsize.
  • Households with particular housing needs.

The results provide valuable evidence that can help inform future planning decisions and housing strategies.

Independent and Confidential

Action Hampshire will administer the survey and manage all responses independently. All personal information will be handled confidentially and in accordance with data protection requirements. Individual responses will not be shared with Eversley Parish Council, the Neighbourhood Plan Working Group or other residents. The information collected will be analysed by Action Hampshire and presented only in the form of an anonymous summary report.

How Will the Results Be Used?

The final Housing Needs Assessment Report will help inform:

  • The Eversley Neighbourhood Plan.
  • Housing policies within the Plan.
  • Future housing discussions within the parish.
  • Housing strategy work undertaken by Hart District Council.

The report will provide evidence to help ensure that future decisions are based on a clear understanding of local needs rather than assumptions.

Have Your Say

The success of the survey depends on participation from local residents. Whether you are currently looking for housing, may need different accommodation in the future, or simply wish to help build an accurate picture of local need, we encourage everyone to take part. Your response will help create a stronger evidence base and ensure that future planning decisions reflect the needs of the community. Further details about how to complete the survey are shown below. The deadline date is 2nd August 2026.
